What’s new
ArcTitan version 9.5.0 is due to be released on 27 and 28 October 2026.
This new version lets partners access their customers’ archives with their own credentials, and introduces a reworked permissions model for the Control Panel. It also adds AND/OR searching on sender and recipient, white-labeled usage reports, simpler customer administration, and stronger access controls across the Control Panel and its APIs. Most partners and customers don’t need to do anything to upgrade.
Single sign-on (SSO) connections affected by redirect URL changes in the previous Control Panel release can now be restored (see Fixed in this release below).
Partner access to customer archives
| Feature | Details |
| Partner access overview | Partners can now log in to a customer’s archive using their own partner credentials, without needing a separate account for each customer. |
| Service provider access toggle | A new Service provider access toggle is available in the authentication settings of each tenant archive. When the toggle is on, each screen shows an additional button for signing in through the partner’s own authentication. |
| Customer control | Customers stay in control, because partner access is only available while the toggle is on. When partner access is enabled, the customer’s tenant health status shows as green. |
Reworked Control Panel permissions
Access to the Control Panel is now governed by staff permissions, giving distributors and partners finer control over who can do what.
| Capability | Details |
| Default permissions | On the authentication provider settings screen, you can define the permissions a user receives when they first sign in. |
| Automatic staff provisioning | If Control Panel access is enabled by default for an authentication provider, a staff member is created automatically on first sign-in, using those default permissions. |
| Read-only mode | Staff without the Admin permission can sign in and view settings but can’t make changes. Save and submit actions explain that the Admin permission is required. |
| Per-customer permissions | A simplified dialog lets distributors and partners assign staff permissions customer by customer. |
| Clear access messaging | Users who sign in without a staff record, where default access isn’t enabled, see a “no access” page. Customer users are given a link to the Search UI. |
AND/OR search on sender and recipient
The sender and recipient search fields now support AND/OR logic, matching the existing keyword search. This makes it easier to find conversations between specific groups of people.
Improvements
| Area | Improvement |
| White-labeled usage reports | Branding has been removed from the usage reports interface. |
| Simpler customer list | Customer actions are now two buttons, Administrate and View links. View links shows the links a customer may need, and the Send setup link has moved to the tenant health column. |
| Version number in the Control Panel | The Control Panel now shows the current version below the Sign out button, so you can easily confirm the version when raising a support case. |
| No welcome email for API-created customers | Customers created through the SOAP API no longer receive the automatic company creation email, so partners control their own onboarding communications. |
| Strengthened access controls | This release strengthens access controls across the Control Panel and its APIs. Administrators can only view and change settings within their own organization and its permitted hierarchy. Sensitive values such as credentials and keys are no longer exposed to users who don’t need them. No customer action is required. |
Fixed in this release
| Area | Fix |
| Search | Users are no longer intermittently logged out when paging through search results or refreshing the page. |
| Search | Filtering by source (import) mailbox now works correctly. |
| Classic Search UI | The Allow Download Message setting has been restored, so the download button appears for new customers. |
| Search settings | The restore buttons in search settings can be clicked again. |
| Mail flow | Inbound mail no longer bounces for some customers. |
| Onboarding | The authentication setup status now updates automatically once customer onboarding is complete. |
| Onboarding | Send setup link no longer appears for distributors, partners, or customers that are already set up. |
| Usage reports | Usage reports now respect the permissions set in the Control Panel, which fixes unexpected logouts and incorrect access for staff without the Usage permission. |
| Usage reports | Usage data is populated correctly again. |
| Staff management | Adding yourself as a staff member under a customer now shows a clear error message instead of a false success message. |
| Configuration | Configuration now resolves correctly for wildcard and Outlook hosts. |
| Single sign-on (SSO) | OAuth connections that stopped working because of redirect URL changes in the previous Control Panel release can now be restored without updating registered redirect URIs. Affected customers may need to sign in once through the Classic interface, after which the connection works as normal. |
